About the work:
This is the ceiling of the arch of the General Staff Building in St. Petersburg, designed by the great architect Rossi. I’ve always been fascinated by how this arch opens up like a book, redirecting the Bolshaya Morskaya Street straight onto the central axis of Palace Square. Brilliant!
